| CHECK IN: On Forest Park Drive, just EAST of Woodhaven Blvd; adjacent to the Victory Field track. Check-in starts at 7:00 AM | |||||||||||
| START & FINISH: On Forest Park Drive. | |||||||||||
| EARLY START: The cutoff is 8 hours. If you think you might not finish within that time limit, you can start earlier at 6:30 AM. To be | |||||||||||
| an Early Starter, you MUST DECLARE on the entry blank and you MUST PRE-ENTER. No post-entrant can be an early starter. | |||||||||||
| Come ready to run between 6:00 AM & 6:30 AM to pick up your packet. Please note there will be aid only at one station for the first | |||||||||||
| 2 hours. And your official finishing time cannot be faster than 7 hours & 30 minutes or time will be added to equate to 7:30. | |||||||||||
| FACILITIES: Suggest you come dressed to run. There will be rest rooms at the Victory Field Park House. But they may not be | |||||||||||
| open until 8:00 AM. For pre-race facilities, you may have to use the woods. There will be restrooms on the course loop. | |||||||||||
| AUTO DIRECTIONS: Jackie Robinson Parkway (Brooklyn bound; connects with Grand Central Pkwy East & Van Wyck | |||||||||||
| Expwy South). Exit # 4 "Forest Park Drive, Myrtle Avenue, Woodhaven Blvd."; after exit, make RIGHT turn, then another RIGHT onto | |||||||||||
| Myrtle Avenue. Proceed on Myrtle for .7 mile to Woodhaven Blvd. Make RIGHT onto Woodhaven Blvd; go one block to RIGHT onto | |||||||||||
| Forest Park Drive. Parking lot on right near carousel.ORYou can try to park on Myrtle Ave after passing | |||||||||||
| Woodhaven Blvd on right side, adjacent to the track. | |||||||||||
| Jackie Robinson Parkway (from Brooklyn). Exit # 5 "Myrtle Avenue, Woodhaven Blvd." after exit, bear right to RIGHT onto Myrtle | |||||||||||
| Avenue. Go .3 mile to Woodhaven Blvd. Follow above parking directions. | |||||||||||
| Long Island Expressway to "Woodhaven Blvd." exit. South on Woodhaven Blvd. for about 2.5 miles to Forest Park Drive. Make | |||||||||||
| RIGHT to lot near carousel | |||||||||||
| MASS TRANSIT DIRECTIONS: "J" subway/el to "Woodhaven Blvd." station. Walk north .6 mile on Woodhaven Blvd on right | |||||||||||
| side to Myrtle Avenue. Long Islanders can take LIRR to Jamaica station to access the "J" subway. | |||||||||||
| "E", "F" & "R" subways to Forest Hills (71st Street-Continental Ave.) station. Take cab (about $7.00) to Woodhaven Blvd. and | |||||||||||
| Forest Park Drive. | Note: Call 718-330-1234 for possible subway construction work that may cause delays. | ||||||||||
| COURSE: 4-mile traffic-free loop on a combination of Park Drives, cement and macadam footpaths. The loop is shady and ever | |||||||||||
| rolling. The course is challenging because of the 10 loops. | |||||||||||
| AID: Three stations providing water, Gatorade, defizzed cola, sponges and food snacks. Ice (if needed) will be available. | |||||||||||
| There also will be medical supplies at the Finish Line station. | |||||||||||

| POST RACE: The infamous chicken dinner with baked beans, cole slaw, rolls and cold drinks will be served. There also will be | |||||||||||
| some food for vegetarians. Post-race activities will be conducted near the Start/Finish area. Guest(s) of entrants are welcome to | |||||||||||
| eat for a small fee, collected on race day | |||||||||||
| ENTRY PROCEDURE: $40.00 for 2004 BUS Members and also for GLIRC, SIAC and Taconic Members; $50.00 for non-members. | |||||||||||
