Broadway Ultra Society 2014 Mid-Summer Special Event
(Fourth Annual)
The BUS 6-Hour Pajama Romp
Saturday -July 26th, 2014- 5pm to 11pm

The Broadway Ultra Society (BUS) provided a different way to spend last Saturday night (6/28/14)... and it seemed to be a fun night for almost everyone.

The Race Director (Richie) is going over all the score sheets and will FINALIZE the results in the next few days... so if you have any remaining concerns contact him NOW! When the results are final we will post them here and on the UltraSignup site.

2014 Race Summary Description:
  1. The race will be held in Astoria Park, Queens on well-lit park paths (not on the track). (Map)
  2. The course loop will be about 1.27 miles, with a couple of "significant rises".
  3. The race will start exactly at 5 PM and end exactly at 11 PM.
  4. All runners will recieve specially imprinted BUS pajama shorts.
  5. Mass transit from the city on the N train to Astoria Blvd (6 blocks from the start/finish area.
      Richie will make sure everyone will get a ride back to the train after the race.
  6. Parking near the start/finish area is available.
  7. On-line registration WILL be available for this event. Information and manual
    forms are available now, and the online account will be active on Saturday, 6/28.
  8. The Parks Dept has imposed a limit of 75 on the size of the field, so...
  9. PLEASE register early... All entries must be received by Wednesday, 7/23/14.
  10. Late and race day entries will be accepted only with verbal approval by the Race Director.
  11. Eligibility: The event is mainly for 2014 bona fide BUS Members. An allotment of
    non BUS Members can be accepted depending on availability. Non-members
    should get verbal approval from race director.
  12. This year this event will NOT be an official NYUR Grand Prix event.
