2014 Broadway Ultra Society 6 Hour Run, with the New York Ultra Running 3 Hour Run & Awards Lunch (followed by the NYUR 2013 Grand Prix Awards Ceremony)   Sunday, March 30, 2014 The weather wasn't ideal and the hills were as "challenging" as promised, but most of us seemed to enjoy the day. For Full Information about these events, click these buttons:      Early information from the Race Director (Richie): Enclosed (click above buttons) please find race application to the BUS 6-Hour Run to be held at Alley Pond Park on Sunday, March 30 starting at 8:45 AM. The 6-Hour will be the second event of the New York Ultra Running (NYUR) Grand Prix Series. Also included is a flyer to the 12th Annual NYUR 3-Hour Award Race to be held on the same date and same location, but starting three hours later at 11:45 AM. Both events are scheduled to finish simultaneously at about 2:45 PM. The course loop will be the challenging and wooded 5K loop that was used at the Queens 50K in December, 2012. There also will be a short loop during the final 45 minutes "of" Broadway. Please note the following: The 6-Hour pre-entry fee will be a bargain $37 to represent BUS 37th year and the 3-Hour Award Race will be just $12; the number of years of the NYUR Grand Prix Series. I greatly hope you will pre-enter to assist with event preparations, but late and post entries will be permitted in the 6-Hour. That late fee will be $50 with no guarantee of a commemorative race shirt. Please also note (per the parameters set by the Parks Department) that only a "limited" (about 20-24) number can participate in the Award 3-Hour. Hence, a late or post entry in the 3-Hour may not be accepted. Following both events will be the 12th edition of the NYUR Grand Prix Awards Lunch to be held inside the Fieldhouse. All race participants are invited and welcomed. So are any guests just at a cost at $5. While an abundant and yummy lunch is being served, the 2013 Grand Prix Awards will be presented to all the award honorees. Then, the presentation of the race awards will ensue. I hope you all will take part to commemorate the committed efforts made by the NYUR to the ultra community. Note: Both races will be scored (and results will be published here).
